Ice Fishing Trips

Our Guided Ice Fishing Trips are a blast and great way to get away from the crowd in the winter time. We have 2 airboats that we use to get you to remote areas away from fishing pressure and on a good bite. Our trips leave shortly after daylight and run 8 hours or until you limit out. We primarily target panfish including perch and bluegills. Tip-up fishing for northern pike is usually good in the areas we fish also. Walleye or Northern pike trips can be booked as well but must be discussed and oked by guide first to make sure we can put you on good fishing and may require a minimum group size.

Trip Prices: Monday-Thurs $175 Per Person Friday - Sunday & Holidays $200 Per Person

How to Book: Our availability is now live online along with how you book your trip. Our capacity of our boat is 5. Each day we will take up to 5 guys. We have a 2 person minimum per day, once that is met then 1 person can join a group up to 5 for the day. If you want a private trip all 5 seats must be purchased. If your group is larger than 5 you can book all 5 seats and we will take a second airboat or make more trips out with one boat. You must notify us by calling or texting to let us know there is more than 5 people. Extra people can be paid in advance over phone or day of trip. Please print a waver for each person and signed or one will have to be filled out at boat landing that morning.

Payments: Cash preferred, check, or credit card(3.5% convivence fee) (no AmEX). Tips are appreciated!!!

What to wear! We leave the boat ramp early usually around 7 am and it is often a very cold airboat ride to our spot. Dress very warm including snow pants, parka, warm boots, face mask, good gloves, and sunglasses or ski mask.

What we provide! We have rods if needed, tip-downs, tip-ups, portable ice shelters, heaters, chairs if you don't have one, and we provide waxies and or spikes, and crappie minnows.

What should you bring! We ask that you pack light. There is only so much room in an airboat. If you are an avid ice fisherman bring your own rods, jig box, pale or chair to sit on, plastic bags to carry your fish, food and drink for the day, extra gloves, any other bait you would like to use other than waxies and crappie minnows. If you think of anything you forgot to bring please let us know by the night before so we can try to provide it for you.

What can you expect! We will have you meet us at a boat ramp that is decided on the evening before the trip. We often move ramps through out the week to stay on good fishing. We will unload the boat at about daylight, load all the gear in the boat then board and leave for our fishing spot. Once there we will drill you holes and you can begin fishing. If weather dictates we need shelters we will set them up as soon as possible and get some heat going. If fishing does not go good in our first spot usually at least 1 backup spot is within boating distance and we will move the group to the new location. Our 2 airboats hold either 4 or 6 people and we try to have a full boat each day depending on group size so you may have others join your group that you do not know. If more than a full boat is booked for the day we may have to make more than 1 trip out to a spot to get all gear and people transported. Usually the first group out is the first group back at the end of the day if this happens.

Cancelations! We ask that you provide us a 2 day notice if you can not make a trip so we can fill your seats on the boat if possible, and so extra bait isn't purchased and wasted. We watch the weather closely and believe in being safe and providing great trips. If the temperatures are going to be extremely cold or windy we may need to cancel or reschedule your trip. Temperatures of below 10 degrees for a daytime high or winds of 20 mph or snow storms will be looked at closely for a reschedule due to safety concerns for our customers with windchills. We will notify you several days in advance if we see a forecast that is not conducive to fishing.

Lodging and Driving! We have many good options for lodging for your trip. For Ice Fishing Trips we recommend you do not book a room until we see an outlook forecast that looks good. Very seldom are hotels booked up and can usually be found with short notice during ice season. Also we may not know the area we will be fishing until a few days prior to your trip. Its a good idea to check in with us about 4-5 days before your trip to check weather, general areas we are fishing and last minute details. We will contact you the evening before your trip and send you a time to meet and pin to the boat ramp that will give you driving directions on your phone.

General Fishing areas will be: Lake Onalaska, with lodging in Holmen, Onalaska, and lacrosse. Trempealeau wi, with lodging in Holmen, Onalaska, or in Trempealeau, and Winona, MN with lodging in Winona, Fountain City or Trempealeau.

Fishing License & Regulations: A Wisconsin or Minnesota Fishing License will allow you to fish any of the areas we fish. If you need to purchase one they can be purchased online or at several stores around the area and start at $10 for a 1 day license. A paper copy of your license must be carried with you while fishing with us. If purchased online a screenshot or picture of your license will be adequate. If fishing in MN waters 2 lines can be used by each person, and in Wi waters 3 lines can be used per person. Please plan to keep your catch separate from everyone else's and no group bagging. MN only allows for 1 daily bag limit as your position limit. If you are fishing 2 days with us we will need to only fish WI waters to keep 2 limits of fish.
